ABOUT US
The Asian Food Bank provides food to all those in need of staples that are most commonly eaten in the Asian diet. We recognize that food is a source of comfort, security and culture so we are proud to be the 1st Asian focused food bank for the BC Region. Asian Canadians in British Columbia make up the largest ethnic group yet do not have a food bank that carries the essentials foods for a balanced asian diet. New immigrants, students, low skilled workers, families living below poverty and Persons with Disabilities will benefit from this community resource, So began our journey to feed.
Our organization is an inclusive environment and we welcome all those in need to come and get a donation. No matter your background we will not discriminate and can provide foods like rice, noodles, tofu and other perishable items. The Asian food bank is a open door for anyone of any background to build food security for themselves and their families so we encourage those in need to come to our table. Food is meant to be shared in a community and we believe nutrition is the foundation for love, growth and stability in a persons life. Food is a basic necessity and we are so grateful for our donors who give towards our mission and want to see our community thrive from their generosity and empathy of others.
